Our cabin has a wrap-around deck that connects the front of the cabin, the fawn (our guest suite), and the main deck on the back. We built our deck on the back of the cabin so that is secluded. Please avoid burning any items while on the deck. We have placed the fire-pit and the grill at a safe distance from the cabin.
Our cabin has a 4-person hot tub. The hot tub has a cover that secured with 4 straps. Please make sure to unbuckle the straps before you use the hot-tub as it may damage the cover, thus incurring additional fees for replacment. Also please remember to cover the hot-tub after use so that we can keep it clean and prevent damage to the filters/motors. We keep our spa at 95 degrees. If you would like to increase the temperature, please use the controls located on the wall facing the cabin. Depending on the outside temperature, it may take a little bit for the water to get to your desired temperature. We do ask you to leave it at 95 degrees when you are done using it.
We have left two robes for you to use along with a separate set of towels for the hot-tub.
We built a fire-pit that you are welcome to use. If you would like to use it, please be aware you need to buy your own fire-wood. The fire-pit is the only area (aside from the grill) where open flames are allowed.
Our cabin has an Amazon TV in the living room. the TV is connected to a small sound bar.
Operating the TV: You need to use the remote control to operate the TV. The TVs are programed for the cabin, we ask that you don't remove the programing, please remove your account from your preferred streaming service, or simply ask us and we can do that for you.
Streaming: TV supports Apple Airplay if you would like to share your screen. Additionally there is a configured account for Pandora and Plex account for the cabin. The plex account has live channels as well as a selection of movies. If you would like to use your own streaming accounts, please make sure you log-out at the end of your stay or let us know so we can reset the account. We don't have cable service.
Audio: There is a small soundbar under the TV. The Soundbar is configured to carry the audio of the TV. There is a source buttom and a volume on the right side. If power goes off, (red light) you may need to turn it back on (green light). You know you are on the right input if the light in the middle is green.
Connecting external devices: There is a wall plate that has an HDMI and an ethernet port if you desire connect an external device to the TV. Please don't move the TV or touch any connections on the back. That port corresponds to HDMI 1 on the TV.
We have placed a weather station on the A-Frame, and have integrated weather into the tablet located next to the main entrance to the cabin so you can see temperatures (specially in the winter). By default it will show you the current temperature and humidity (uses Malone as location.) We use sensors and the weather station to keep the cabin safe (which is why we monitor the temperatures under the cabin, as in the winter extreme temperaturs can lead to frozen pipes). Please do not disconnect the weather station.
We have a basket underneath the stais of the loft with books and some board games. Feel free to use them, but please put them back.
While you can control a number of lights through the tablet, you still can use the lights switches. You will see 5 light switches by the door (2 on the left, 3 on the right). The heating and cooling are integrated into the tablet as-well, but the heating has a nest thermostat you can use as well.

The second corresponds to the fan. Be aware we have automated the fan to turn on if the humidity levels on the bathroom reach over 60%. You don't have to turn it off manually, it will do so on its own. This automation works with the humidity/temperature sensor that is inside the bathroom, please do not move the sensor as this is all designed to keep the cabin safe and minimize excess humidity that could damage the wood.
Space heater: There is a small heater in the bathroom that operates with a timer. This is particularly useful during winter. We ask that you make sure you move the thermostat all the way to the left when you stop using it, as it will drain significant amounts of energy if left on.
Towels & Robes
We have regular towels are located on the linen closet by the door. Additionally, we have towels to use when you use the hot-tub.
A pair of robes has been placed on the master room.
